Fundraising goals

The fundraising goal for this event is for everyone to raise over $50!  Many races require much larger fundraising goals; however, for this event we are just looking for everyone’s personal best in receiving donations.  If you reach the $50 goal, you will be guaranteed a Team Azalea Charities, Run for Wounded Soldiers t-shirt.

Benefits of running with Team Azalea Charities

As a member of Team Azalea Charities, you will receive the following:

  • First and foremost, the personal satisfaction of supporting the needs of our sick and wounded soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines in rehabilitation upon returning from Afghanistan and Iraq, as well as a guaranteed slot in the 2009 marathon

Funds raised from the ING Marathon/Half Marathon in Atlanta will benefit wounded service personnel using the Atlanta VA Medical Center.

  • A discount for running with the charity. There will be a $10 discount for marathoners and $5 for half marathoners that sign up with a charity.
