Circle Solutions Contributes $3,500 to Azalea Charities to Support Aid for Wounded Soldiers

McLean, VA, February 20, 2009 - Circle Solutions, Inc., an employee-owned firm in McLean, Virginia, has donated $3500 to Azalea Charities to support its Aid for Wounded Soldiers programs.

“Our employees chose Azalea Charities to show our support for our troops and, particularly for our wounded veterans,” said Sharon Harrington, director of administration. “Many of us have ties to the military.”

Through its Aid for Wounded Soldiers Program, Azalea Charities provides funding for the purchase of needed comfort items, which are disbursed across the country through the American Red Cross to Military Medical Centers, through volunteer services programs to the VA Medical Centers and to Fisher House rehabilitation facilities.

Harrington presented the check from Circle Solutions to Frank Lasch, chairman of Azlaea Charities, on February 11. With her for the check presentation were Darcie Smith, a meeting planner in Circle’s Conference Department; Christopher Sims, a forklift driver in the company’s distribution center; and Percy Goitia, an exhibit coordinator.

Smith nominated Azalea Charities for the company award. The Prince William organization was one of six charities which were presented to the employees for a vote and Azalea Charities was chosen.

“Each year, we choose a community-based charity to support,” said Harrington. “”We hope to have a bigger impact on a smaller organization. The proceeds come from a holiday raffle, for which employees buy tickets at $1 each. Employee contributions totaled $3,225, and Circle Solutions added an additional $275.”
